Not much history is available online for this brewery. According to the information I have from American Breweries II, the brewery was founded by Christian Isengart in 1865. He brought in a partner with the last name of Voigt from 1870 - 1887. The brewery changed hands in 1887 to the partnership of Wm. Donahue, Tierney, & Gross until 1888 when Mr. Gross left the partnership. The brewery was referred to as The Isengart Brewing Co until it closed in 1915.
