In 1904 the L Hoster Brewing Co joined forces with Born and Co.’s Capital Brewery and Nicholas Schlee & Son’s Bavarian Brewery to create The Hoster Columbus Associated Breweries Co. The collaboration closed when national prohibition was enacted. The Hoster Brewing Co. came back to life as a brewpub in 1989 and operated nearly 30 years before it closed in 2018.
